Attractive cloth-backed boards, contrasting morocco labels to spine, wrappers bound in [Bonniers bokbinderi]. Provenance: Ulf Linde, and from him to Hans Eklund according to 2 neat ownership inscriptions united by an arrow.


Monograph on the art of Jacques Villon. A very fine association copy: Swedish art critic, writer, museum director and member of the Swedish Academy Ulf Linde wrote extensively on Marcel Duchamp (brother of Jacques Villon, actually Gaston Duchamp), and contributed an essay on Villon’s painting ”Composition en jaune et bleu” (Galop) to the book describing the outstanding collection of modern art donated posthumously to the Swedish state by publisher and collector Gerard Bonnier in 1989.
