Helskinnband i agatpolerad engelsk oasis från Russels i Suffolk, pärmarna utgör öppningsbara tittskåp med ett signerad grafisk blad av Lennart Rodhe i varje, infärgade snitt, omslagen medbundna.

Det otroligt påkostade bandet utfördes för bibliofilupplagan av denna bok i 50 + 10 signerade exemplar, utformades av Rodhe och bokbindarmästare Sven-Olov Nystedt tillsammans, och utfördes med stor teknisk skicklighet av den senare. Projektet påbörjades i september 1991 och fakturan för det fullbordade arbetet är daterad 21 februari 1994 (i Leonard Gustavssons arkiv).

Detta är exemplar nr 18, som tillhört Peggy Bonnier (1922–2013). Blekt rygg. I skjutfodral (lätt nött).

Innehåller verkförteckning över Lennart Rodhes grafik 1941-1992 med kommentarer av Thomas Millroth. Sammanlagt 316 blad avbildas och beskrivs avseende titel, tillkomstår, teknik, storlek, upplagestorlek och tryckare.

Bound in full English morocco (oasis) supplied by Russels in Suffolk, ’pastedowns’ constitute opening frames, each containing one signed original print by Lennart Rodhe (=a total of 2), wrappers bound in. Spine faded. In a slipcase (with very slight wear).

A very special and technically challenging binding, designed by Rodhe himself and bound with great skill in 50 + 10 signed copies by master binder Sven-Olov Nystedt. The project was begun in September 1991 and the invoice for the completed work was dated February 21, 1994.

The present is copy no 18, from the collection of Elisabeth (Peggy) Bonnier (1922-2013), a close friend of the artist.
